Cardiff City FC, in partnership with the Welsh Football Trust and Air Ambulance Wales, is hosting a Mini Kickers Turn Up and Play session during the school half-term holidays. This is a great opportunity for young players between the ages of 4-7 to get involved in the beautiful game gaining quality coaching from Cardiff City’s community coaches. This is open to you and all your friends if you would like to come along and get involved in football and also make new friends in the process.

This Turn Up and Play session will follow the Cardiff City academy syllabus where players are all encouraged to have more ‘player ball’ time to help the players become more comfortable and confident on the ball. This is all done through fun technical practices and small sided games.

Players will need to bring Astroturf trainers, training kit, change of clothing if wet weather, packed lunch and drinks.

The KICK IT Sports Coaching October Half Term courses are now available to book.
All courses are football OR multisport, you choose what you want to do.

The football course will have penalty shootouts, world cup matches, shooting practice, dribbling and goalkeeping games and lots more!!!

On a multisport course you will be able to do lots of different sports including; dodgeball, hockey, rounders, parachute, handball, kwik cricket, tag rugby, netball and there even more games to play!!!

All children will receive certificates, and there will be T-shirts handed out to children who are best behaved on the last day.

And that’s not all… if you book a place on the October half term course your child’s name will be entered into a prize draw to WIN a football kit of their choice!!!!

All courses are for boys and girls aged 5-12 years old and it only costs £10 per day. That’s right just £10 per day!!!!

Venue : Bonymaen Rugby Football Club ( Confirmed )
Date : Monday 6th – Wednesday 8th August 2012
Cost : £ 5 per day, if paying £ 10, Day 3 is COMPLIMENTARY
Times : 10am – 3pm
Anyone can attend this.The venue is grass so boots & trainers will be needed along with outdoor kit & shinpads. If it rains we can use the clubhouse. The children will also need a packed lunch and fluid for drinking, water or squash is fine.
PlayFootball Swansea is booked as back up in case of course being rained off.

Cardiff City FC are giving local children the chance to join in a fun Futsal coaching session.  Players will be coached by Cardiff City staff in highly enjoyable technical sessions with fun small-sided games all backed up with the sound of South America, to create a free expressive and unforgettable experience.

Futsal is widely considered as a valuable tool in the development of young players to assist them in becoming more technically proficient.  The game supports players to develop agility, balance and coordination and speed (ABC’S).  It also supports players to become more comfortable with the ball and multiply opportunities to practice, dribbling, turning, shooting and ball control under pressure.

During the session players will also be lucky enough to meet and have photo opportunities with some of Cardiff City’s 1^st team players.  The players will be attending to keep an eye on the local talent and put forward their views on how Futsal can help develop them as footballers.
